  • Created a flexible event management web site to handle multiple events, hosts, locations and customers.
  • Implemented PayPal merchant services integrations to handle credit card transactions and online payments.
  • Developed a mass-customization e-mail notification system to allow personalized e-mail mailing.
  • Developed member tracking system to determine when customers return to the site. This information can be cross referenced with purchasing patters and promotional response.

  • Extended client’s homegrown time entry system to include accounts receivable functionality.
  • Created and modified several advanced custom reports in MS Access
  • Created a repository to automatically store electronic versions of all client invoices in PDF format.
  • Work with liaisons from Accounting team to determine programming requirements and usage.

  • Created a secure, web based, hotel reservation management system.
  • Consulted with management from several small hotels and B&Bs to determine the needs of a small rental property. Analyzed competitive products to determine features needed for running a small property.

University of Western Kentucky, Bowling Green, KY June 2005 - Ongoing
  • Created a dynamic web site using MS Access and ASP to display where different moths and butterflies have been spotted in Kentucky.
  • Developed a dynamic mapping feature to highlight species sightings by county.
  • Developed web based administration panels to allow new entries into the database.

Goldman Sachs , Equity Derivatives Risk Management May 2001 – March 2002
  • Maintained the Equity Derivatives Risk Management section of the Goldman Sachs client web site.
    • Wrote automation scripts to allow analysts to post research reports to the document management system.
    • Maintained and organized scripts and databases, which display and store research reports.
    • Continued improvement of the site towards greater task automation and efficiency of existing code.
    • Served as the technical contact to the research team taking requests for additions and enhancements to the suite of applications available to internal and external clients.
  • Re-wrote storage and access mechanisms to an in-house database, improving performance, and eliminating administrative overhead.
  • Created web scripts to generate departmentally standardized release notes. The script determined appropriate distribution channel for each note. Automation handled all standard notes, notifying the administrator only when manual intervention was required.

  • Maintained the Mainframe report distribution system that handled over 10,000 reports daily and over 15,000 users worldwide
